The Breast Imaging Section at Yale offers a comprehensive fellowship according to the guidelines and curriculum recommended by the Society of Breast Imaging. The faculty members are leaders in the fields of digital breast tomosynthesis and screening breast ultrasound. Our fellows receive extensive clinical exposure to all aspects of breast imaging including cutting edge technology such as digital breast tomosynthesis and 3T breast MRI.
The fellowship offers extensive experience in digital screening and diagnostic mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging MRIand interventional procedures including image-guided wire and radioactive seed localizations, as well as stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided core needle biopsies. Additional training is provided in the epidemiology, diagnosis, pathology, and treatment of breast cancer and radiology-pathology correlation. Fellows are fully integrated into the section and work closely with the faculty interpreting imaging, performing procedures, consulting with clinical providers, and assisting with the multidisciplinary care and evaluation of patients with breast cancer.

Director: Lisa Mullen, M. Johns Hopkins offers a one-year fellowship in breast imaging, which includes training in all aspects of breast imaging and interventions. The goal for each fellow is to attain skills, which will be utilized in the effort to decrease breast cancer morbidity and mortality.
Two positions are offered per year. The fellowship is split between University of Chicago Medical Center and Evanston Hospital, which provides a fully complementary learning experience.
